Under its corporate plan of setting up an 3 MTPA integrated Steel plant, NMDC Ltd. has concluded the Contract Agreement with Consortium comprising of M/s Shriram EPC, M/s Hutni Projekt, and M/s Beekay Engineering Corporation for Installation of By Product Plant on 10th January, 2012 at Hyderabad. This plant will process 83,600 NM3/hr coke oven gas generated from 2 Nos Coke Oven Batteries.
The By-Product Plant shall comprise:
- Gas Condensation Plant
- Ammonia removal followed by catalytic cracking of Ammonia
- H2S removal & Elemental Sulphur Recovery Unit
- Napthalene removal & its Recovery Unit
- Effluent Treatment Plant
The main By-Products are:
Tar, Napthalene and Elemental Sulphur as well as purified coke oven gas which will be further used for heating of coke oven batteries and other units of the plant.
Under the above contract, M/s Beekay Engineering Corporation's scope consists mainly of supply of indigenous Plant & Equipment, Technological and Building Structures and storage, erection, testing and commissioning of the plant. - Primary Gas Coolers
- Napthalene Scrubbers
- Ammonia Scrubbers
- H2S Scrubber
- Varous Tanks, Vessels & Pipelines
